Normally in a tournament I would create a seeding system based on how well each person is expected to do, but there's not really any standouts here on either end so I'll probably just create the setup completely randomly.

Also, perhaps to remove bias, I shouldn't let it be known who is competing against who until after each round is already over, that way judgement is completely fair.

So what I'll do is make the field, then eventually I'll get around to making the little competitions, and at that point I'll PM the contestants what they're to do, they'll PM me back their entry and then I'll start the polls. Although Livio can see who votes in the polls, I can't see that or police it and it would be too much trouble to get him involved, so officially I encourage contestants to vote for themselves.

Oh, well what do you know, I have randomly generated the tournament setup, and also come up with 4 mini-competitions for the first round. So I guess I'll be sending those out now.

If anyone in it decides that they're never going to show up again or chooses to withdraw from participation, then you can serve as a replacement.

I think this was probably about the best case scenario as far as participation goes. You always want to land on a power of 2 so that you can have clean 1v1 matches the whole way without having players sit out a round. I doubt we'd be able to get 16 people on board, so you can't really do any better than 8 people. Plus you would be the clear favorite if you were in this. Without you, though, this is a pretty level playing field.

If this goes well perhaps we'll have to try it again. But at the same time I struggle coming up with good original ideas for one-post-roundish stuff, so if there is a next time I might take suggestions for these things.

What's the time limit for your entry?

No official time limit, just don't take so long that I feel like I need to remind you of your duties. Ideally it would be nice to have everything in by 3 days, but I don't know how this will actually work out

Also, it's easy for someone to be critical of someone else's work when they don't have to do that. (Ex: Sports fans talking about how terrible a certain player is)
