So honestly, the day after I made that tie post, I quickly peeked in here to check to see if the tie had finally been broken, and I saw that contestant 3 had a 3 vote lead on contestant 4, and I was like, "sweet, I'll finalize the results tonight" since I had other things to do like college projects and whatnot. And then when I finally got around to doing it it was tied again.

If we find ourselves unable to break this tie, I'd probably give the tiebreaker to contestant 3 because this tie right now feels like it was the direct result of someone being all "lol I'm gonna switch my vote just for the sake of a tie" when Contestant 3 had a lead. But I'd rather it just resolve itself, because I feel like that's an illegitimate way to break a tie. If we can't figure something out, I'll just move onto the next match and then maybe try this one again. This isn't something that's been at the top of my mind, but I've been neglecting to do something about this for a while, so I'll just set a deadline for the tie to be broken at the end of Saturday, and if it's not broken by then I'll move on and worry about it later.

So I thought about restarting the random poll topic with random stories, but then I realized I still needed to finish out this tournament, so I decided to just do it like the rest of them with a random thing that they had to do and sent both Teo and Soccerboy PMs a few days ago, and we are now waiting on both of them to finish this thing up.

Yimmy is indeed correct. When I made the poll, the chicken was the first option and the egg was the second one, so the correct answer in this instance would be the chicken.
