What program do you use to make your pictures, kro? Because if you're using Paint, upgrade to GIMP, Paint.Net (recommended by me), or something else, where you can use transparency.

I second Isa's recommendation. I, of course, though, am not good at graphicy stuff, but Paint.NET is very nice. And I find it the easiest to use and simplest.

I'm just afraid the dark grey will just make it look worse because if its dark color.

If you do use Paint, like me, but don't want to use those horribly complicated upgrades, like me, download Irfanview.

Paint.net isn't complicated if you practice a bit.

I was going with a normal-proportioned rodent until I finally looked at Jell's ans was like "Oh crap it's cartoony?" and the white middle too. So it's pretty messed up piece of both normal and cartoon.
Plus it's uber dark.

Here's an edited version of DBX's sprite which looks more like Jell's. (Jell's on right for comparison)

It's called highlighting.

look at the crawling picture compared to the standing one. There is different amounts of brown fur on the front legs.

Kroto's right, there should be less white between the arms(arms should begin higher up on the body, I think) and the upper body. Also, it looks like jell's creature's white might actually be a full stripe around the body, like in DBX's attempt.

Are we even going to use the hamster? I made that image before we decided on the characters.

Here is a cave background:
It may be a bit sloppy in some parts so tell me if you see area that need to be redone.

Plainly, I think it's too amateurish for an official background, but there is something specific that I don't like: most of the bg is blurry, which is a good thing for a background, but then you have these crystals in there, and they are unusually clear and in focus and too colorful. It might look better without them at all

I don't know. Do gerbils in the future wear clothes?

giving them clothes humanizes them more, making them seem more like characters as opposed to regular animals.

Add a shirt. Pants might not work though. That would just look weird.
