@Soccer I do think it's unusual for Thomas not to have posted much. This could be down to simply being busy but right now I'm getting a scum read. I think Jorster is a bigger issue though. His play style is bad. Very bad.

*Ahem*

'Shavey Dave' said:
I'd like to say something about Jorster. He instantly jumps on my bandwagon with only 'I agree about what has been said' as reasoning.

'Jorster' said:
I agree with what has been said about Shavey.

Vote: Shavey

Then votes Conzy because of a post of a similar level.

'Conzy' said:

he has been acting suspicus latley

Jorster. This is terrible. FoS: Jorster You just can't call Conzy's post terrible after posting your vote on me. Your post certainly wasn't amazing. Atall. I'd also like to say that you shouldn't be saying what Conzy is doing IRL. That is up to him.

I know my posts have not been great but to me when I read Jorsters posts they just seem so shallow. It seems like he doesn't think about what he's posting. I always make sure to preview my post before I post it to check for typo's and the fact that it isn't terrible. Jorster you should do the same.

So your read on me has changed based on the reactions of others from your town/null read on me on page 3? Not much I can do about you being too reactive to that. But if you truly believed it, you would not have changed stances in the first place so that also suggests your scum read on me is fake as well.

Yes. You want Shavey and I dead perhaps for different reasons. You are avoiding my point. You start the wagon but back off at L-1 but what do you expect to gain from it then? Shavey does dumb things at L-7 so what's gonna change in his play at L-1? You are  doing this because you are scum.

I have to contain myself here a bit, but in reality, I want to scream.

When an early game wagon piles up, you look for reactions. Reactions from the person the wagon is on, yes, but primarily the reactions from EVERYONE ELSE.
I would *never* lynch Shavey Dave over that post if it was the sole case on him. It's a very good starting point however for a wagon, lo and behold, I shouted his name and a wagon appeared. What's interesting now is not necessarily Shavey Dave, but everyone who jumped on it. Notice how nobody, bar Yuggy, added any new reasoning? Notice how the only ones opposing the wagon did so after it had been ran up to L-1 and then dropped down to L-2? Yes, no? Either way, that's what we get from this - we have learned something about the behavior of others.

I honestly thought you knew more about mafia play than this, but right now I am wondering how you get through day 1 - but looking back at past games, you usually don't do too well on those. Gee whiz, I wonder why.

Early game bandwagons are a great way to get things started. As soon as we have anything concrete to go on, we're gonna pump our attacks up a bit hopefully. I would like to think that you can understand the concept of pushing a wagon without not wanting to lynch the person you're voting at once, otherwise, back to Newbie Games.

tl;dr - it was never my intention to lynch Shavey Dave. I never stated such either. You have no case, thanks and good night.

Also, are you saying that I am scum, because I am more aggressive...than when I was scum, so I must be scum...?

Thomas, you are the one suspecting everyone and assuming the worst, so I don't give a damn about what you say about that - in fact, it's more hypocritical than anything. The only one I've seen you been forgiving towards without any given reason is Shavey Dave, ever.

The difference between this and a reaction wagon is that you want to lynch Shavey Dave. Here's the proof:
'Isa' said:
OK, Thomas and Shavey Dave are mafia together, GG. Shavey is defending Thomas and he tends to be one to jump on bandwagons (note how he chose to jump on another right after), but instinctively refusing a bandwagon on Thomas while he says that he must reread. His defense of him is also very funny-sounding - "I don't KNOW that he's town, dude, but it'd be really nice if you dropped your attacks here".

Vote either, let's cruise to victory.

So have you observed any major reactions? I haven't. I expected rocket guy2 to play the way he has, I expected Conzy and Buboy to play the way they have and Jorster is just weird. What do you think of him thus far? Has the wagon given you any strong reads on anybody?

Well in the above quote you clearly wanted him and myself dead. "we have learned something about the behavior of others." That did not come as unexpected to me. New players puts us back into game 1/2 where bandwagoning was the norm.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know about "pressure votes" and all that stuff (and I'm a heavy user of them), but there's a difference between that and wanting a player lynched. I don't know why you risked Shavey Dave getting lynched if it was apparently only pressure when you should know that new players play like this. >.>

Well that's a start but that's not the only reason for my vote on you.

How'd you get access to my head to know what I was thinking?

No read on rocket guy2 yet, decent scum chance in Conzy and Buboy (but honestly, I had forgotten about him), Jorster is badTown.

I've gotten a pretty decent town-vibe from Yuggy and that makes me content.

Two things.
1. CSD in game 2. He was not happy with the end result of his Bmwsu vote, but as far as I know, he was town.
2. I hardly "risked" him getting lynched. This is the sixth game we have played. Although we have some inexperienced faces, we haven't seen any rushed-through lynch since game 2 - held well over a year ago. And note that as soon as he got to L-1, I unvoted, so...

Isa V Thomas mess:
I had observed Isa's "bad play", but I believed that this was him trying to provoke reactions. I feel that an IsaScum would be more reactive than this, as per two games ago. In light of this, I chose to not attack him for it because I think that the mafia would take that role if the we didn't. However, that doesn't convince me of thomas' guilt. If we recall from two games ago, thomas and I were both town, and he attacked me just as vehemently. What I am saying is that thomas really isn't that great at reading townies.
None of that clears thomas. What I'm getting at is that calling thomas clearly scum is inaccurate. I see your reasoning Isa, but I think that you need to be more careful of your use of hyperbole on this one, given how many new players there are. Half-decent arguements delivered as though they are obvious to the Mighty Isa can (and have) cause wagons that might not be ideal.

No one has done one of these yet, so I'll give my reads on everyone:
1   -Jorster: mild scum, bandwagoning and Information Instead of Analysis (IIoA)
2   -Thomas: null, scumhunting, very badly
3   -Shavey: mild scum, bandwagoning
4   -Yuggy: slight town, scumhunting
5   -Buboy24: slight town, bad town newbie is bad
6   -Rocketguy2: slight town, bad town newbie is bad
7   -Isa: moderate town, early miller claim, analysis, scumhunting
8   -Jellsprout: null
9   -Soccerboy13542: null
10   -Conzy: slight town, bad town newbie is bad
11   -Snipereborn: most amazing person on the planet
12   -Jazz: obvscum, jazz
13   -Darvince: slight scum, bandwagoning, inactivity (and not a new player)

Thoughts on this list? Intuitively, a jorster, shavey, darvince scum team seems wrong. I'd like to hear more from jell, soccor, jazz, and darvince.

Darvince just got back from camp, just so you know. @Sniper, I agree with Jorster and Shavey as scum, not Darvince.

We need more from jell, jazz, darvince, rocketguy, buboy, connor.
^That's 6 people. So to get a lynch, it looks like the remaining 7 need to step up.

I guess my post earlier no one wants to respond to... that's cool i guess :/

So thomas said Isa was two faced.
Shavey was quick to turn around...
Jorster... isn't new to the game, Sniper. You said that on page 6.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was these 3.

The other problem is that buboy, connor, and rocketguy have an equal chance at being picked as mafia and well... there's 3 of them... and none of can figure anything out. although some of the other people look worse, those 3 earlier haven't said anything. They rarely talk, and when they do, it says nothing.

Vote: becuzz..... uhhhh suspicious.

For d1, i think we should wait until near deadline, then if nothing, lynch one of these 3.

hehe

How do you read so much into a fluff post to show that I've just come back and one thought? Tell me this magic!

content below
Apparently observing game 5 and three posts on game 4 counts as playing the game before now?
Snipere, I was inactive because I was away at camp, and unless my arms suddenly became 300km long I don't think I would be active during that time.
Why is jazz obviously scum? Unless of course that is just joking...
Thomas: Accusing everyone of being scum gets things nowhere other than everyone getting all defensive. I understand that being offensive is good, but seriously, you don't need to lash out on every other post someone makes. You're being very straightforward, which I'm not sure is because of all the new players and bad players (me, buboy, conzy, rocketguy, jorster) or because you are trying to leak as little information as possible.

From my understanding: Proaction creation + exaggeration -> Actions and reactions, but reactions are bad?
Sorry if it seems like random babble but this tab has been open for several hours and I've been throwing it together slowly because I have no patience to do these large paragraphs that you guys do.

I was eager to claim because I hate having all these votes on me. I constantly have to defend myself and give explanations whilst people jump on the bandwagon without any of their own reasoning. Previously I played the independent and eagerly gave a fake role claim. The next time I checked the topic I was lynched. If I was scum I would not be so eager to fake claim. I would be worried. I was eager to claim because I thought that if you saw my role the votes might die down because you would realise I was a townie.

Looking at each others roles would be cheating! The only time I've known Shavey's role is when we were neighbours (An ingame role) last game. I can't speak for Jorster and Conzy, but I assume that they haven't shared that kind of information!

What I think is that a lot of those votes were bandwagoning, Isa unvoted because he didn't intend a lynch but was worried some newbie would unknowingly cast the final vote. The wagon was started to get reactions, maybe someone might scumslip as a result of it. It is also a place to start, you have to start somewhere, otherwise the game wouldn't get going. I think you are taking this wagon too seriously.

And also Thomas, one of your reasons against Isa is that he is playing agressively, which is what you do a lot. Why is it different when Isa is aggressive (not even as aggressive as you have been before)?

I'll also add that Isa has been scum before and his play was no different from his normal. So just because he has been a little bit more agressive so far doesn't necessarily mean he is mafia/not town.

My thoughts:
-You people sure post a lot. I've gone to a friend in Amsterdam for barely a day and next time I check this thread there are suddenly 4 new pages.
-I don't understand why you call me out like that when I haven't even been online since my last post in this thread.
-There are 4 pages of rookies accusing other rookies because they've made the exact same rookie mistakes they made. All this tells me is that the players of this game are less experienced than the previous games.

I don't have a terrible lot of time, so I've just skimmed the posts. I will read them more thoroughly later today.
