New server! Actually, the new server's details will be announced when we're done configuring it. We'll make the official switch by the 13th, which is when our current server expires. For now, I want to test our new mumble voice chat server. When you join, you're free to set whatever name you want, but if you want to be a trusted member of the server, you'll have to right-click your name and click register (after connecting to the server). If you try connecting, (1) first tell me whether or not you're asked to put in a password, (2) whether or not you are automatically muted when you enter the room, and (3) whether or not you are allowed to unmute yourself upon entering. | |

I will. And I also plan to update the plugins once a month in order to prevent errors like this from happening again. I'll update them whenever the server bills are due. I'm going to turn off the current server now, in order to download the absolute latest backup and prepare for the final server transition. The new server will be up in within the next one or two days (with 2 days being the worst case). | |

THE NEW SERVER IS OPEN! Scroll up to the top of this topic to see the server info, as well as reference guides and lists for all the new features! One important note for survival players: None of your chest protections have been imported (all items have been imported, however). Check the last spoiler in the header to see instructions for how to protect your chests now. Don't freak out too much about it, though, because the server's keeping logs about who's taking what from which chests, so we can easily revert any such griefs and ban those who are responsible. Also, we've added a border to some of the worlds and we deleted the extremely far chunks. I tried to be careful to not destroy anyone's projects, but there's still a chance that I missed something. If I did miss something and ended up deleting your work, tell me and we'll work something out. Most likely I'll find a way to move your creation within the new border, rather than expanding the border. Enjoy the new server! Tell me if you have any problems with the transition, problems with logging into the voice chat server, etc... | |
