we can have minimafia afterwards.

Thomas, you play and talk like you think you're a mafia pro. but you have to understand that even experienced players need to adjust to the environment. having mass knowledge of chess theory won't work if the other player doesn't play it too, you know. you said alot of stuff like that aggressive =/=anti-town, but nobody cares for that, it's not automatically true cuz you said it, even if mafia site supports you, I haven't been there. the fact is that you have played much, much, too aggressively in my opinon, and while doing that you have many many places to err, slip, or let some mistaken mafia hints, that people might spot, even if wrongly. The thing is that you think people analyze posts the same way you do..

I'd say that what you just wrote is the worst use of "WIFOM" I've seen. Staff Members tend not to be lynched because they actually can post decent cases through the use of logic and engage in the game. The only exception so far has been CSD in this game and I think it's a lot due to you drenching out everyone else by spamming the thread (which is absurdly anti-town - you take all the attention, you're not focusing the attention on ANYONE but yourself by having 1/3 of the posts with 13 players alive), in combination with the 50% success rate thing.

Thomas, you have a really huge ego. Drop it.

WIFOM?
*sigh*
you guys should seriously either stop using mafia abbreviations, or at least say what they mean in ( ) at the end of your post or something..

My play wasn't bad. YOU were the lurker. If I'm not mafia in the next game then I'll be even more aggressive... but I'm never mafia. So what's so bad about my play?

-You predicted all three Mafia members wrong.
-You tunneled in on these three so heavily that you refused to vote for anyone besides these three, even when a no-lynch threatened.
-You spammed up the thread, diverting all attention away from the scum and towards you.
-Your extremely hostile playstyle antagonized every other member in the game, almost getting you lynched and getting you NK'd.
-You attacked people who disagreed with you and automatically disagreed with their accusations, causing you to miss the fairly scummy play of CSD and his protection of Jazz.

Honestly Thomas, what wasn't bad about your play?

And now, about your godlike Mafia detection skills. In the first game you correctly predicted Silver was Mafia, but mispredicted Isa. At this point a random prediction would result on average 0.46 correct picks with a deviation of 0.57. You beat the RNG 58% of the times.
In the second game you correctly predicted me and Nebnebben, but mispredicted Yaya, Jazz and DBX, giving you can accuracy of 2:5. A completely random guess would on average correctly predict 1.15 with a deviation of 0.77. The RNG would predict worse than you 69%. I'm going to humor you and not include the second and third day of the second Mafia game, where you accusing the wrong people and worked your hardest to get them lynched, while protecting the actual Mafia members.
And in the third game you mispredicted Yuggy, Shos and me, giving you a score of 0:3. The RNG would correctly predict 0.75 members with a deviation of 0.68. The RNG would outpredict you 62% of the times.
So overall, you perform somewhat better than an RNG, but it is still fairly close. But if you actually do intend to play more like in the third game, I know who I would rather trust.

No, Jell was obvscum but he wasn't lynched because he was staff. My posts were not spam and I was keeping activity in the game! Activity is pro-town.

Quirvy has a huge ego.

It's not my fault those people looked so scummy. Jazz, Silver and CSD were DEFINITELY NOT cleared though.

No, I tunneled on all players, not only 3. It looks like the wagons were Yuggy, myself or Shavey Dave and I was not going to go for myself or Dave so Yuggy was the target. No-lynch was not my fault, the days are way too short. MS usually has 15-21 day deadlines.

Attention was never off scum.

Sorry, aggression works though. Look at how bad Silver played under my attacks.

No, I don't OMGUS vote. If you're talking about how I attacked you and stuff, I'm pretty sure I attacked you before you attacked me so I could accuse you of OMGUS but I won't.

Thomas, you are not being attacked here. you're being criticized, there's a difference. your responses are, objectively enough I say, pretty bad. an aggressive playing style may work of course, but look at the results of the last game. it did not work. when things don't work you can't say they do. they might 'usually be working' but now we've seen that that's the best option. and I don't think you understood jell's post by your reply, btw..

I totally want the next mafia game to start

Yeah, I was kinda disappointed by your response Thomas, cuz you answered all of it like you did in the mafia game, which isn't a good thing. All you did was deny or vaguely answer everything.

Quirvy has a huge ego.
I knew that jell was mafia, but that didn't matter because:
1. The 2 people who I wasn't sure about (you and Silver/Yuggy) were far worse at defending themselves then jellsprout was. And don't try to defend the way you defend yourself because if it was so good we would have lynched Yuggy instead of you.
2. Even if jell was lynched, we'd still have to decide between you and Yuggy for who was the remaining mafia. Had we gotten to this stage, you might have been more likely to survive, but I can't say that for sure, and it doesn't matter anyways because we weren't going to kill jell before his partner, as explained in 1.

I also like it how you don't deny that you have a huge ego, you just try to say, "well quirvy also has a big ego!" My ego is unrelated to the topic at hand. See why people don't find your arguments to be very valid.

Quote:

Instead of addressing thomas directly, I'm going to analyze his arguments third person from now on.

Notice how thomas tries to avoid accepting responsibility for his incorrect reads by claiming that it was the fault of the incorrect person for acting scummy, yet when one blames him for acting in such a way that caused him to get lynched in the second game, he blames the voters for not being able to see that he was town.

Quote:
Attention was never off scum.
Make note of how instead of countering jell's claim with evidence to the contrary, he simply claims that he is wrong.

Quote:
Sorry, aggression works though. Look at how bad Silver played under my attacks.
Despite the fact that his over-aggressive attitude in the second game ended up getting himself lynched in the end, he continues to believe that it has led to success.

Quote:
No, I don't OMGUS vote. If you're talking about how I attacked you and stuff, I'm pretty sure I attacked you before you attacked me so I could accuse you of OMGUS but I won't.
Here thomas uses acronyms for things that the average interguilder probably doesn't understand, so I can't really comment on validity.

Quote:
I don't choose at random so the above does not apply.
When Jell points out that a random number generator is barely worse than him at predicting mafia, Thomas claims that the stat does not apply to him because he does not choose who he believes to be mafia at random (???)

OMGUS = Oh My God You Suck. Player A votes Player B, player B says "Dude, you're so scummy for that. VOTE: Player A". The vote by player B is an OMGUS vote.

The game was really interesting from D3 onward and I wasn't lynched! I was pro-town.

I should probably respond to the stuff here. I couldn't respond a few days ago because I had to use my time to figure out who's scum in the above game.

Because I was playing in a way that the mafia would not expect a cop to play so they would not be able to find me.

Yeah keep fooling yourself and ignoring meta. Try your strategy on Mafiascum and see what happens...also remember how Slaandar got called out for posting too much during day 1? He drew all the attention to him, and stopped when called out on it because it is not pro-town.
