Reading conversations about games you've never played can be surprisingly entertaining. |

If anyone else on here understood Swedish I'd have to censor the image. |

Played my first online game with Flash just now. Five minutes into the game, I get "omg f****** viper noob". The Dota 2 community lived up to my expectations, at least from my experience in that first game. It's a beautifully designed game with a lot of depth, but there's little room for super-casual players like myself who just want to shoot some people in the face after a hard day's work. |

I'm kinda surprised. I usually don't have that bad of an experience when playing and Flash is not far away from my skill level (which affects who you land in a game with).
It Gets Better, is all I can say. |

That's been my online experience in almost all games except for Minecraft, really. In the beginning, the minecraft was helpful as hell to new players.

He played exceptionally well and the other players used him as a scapegoat
I also had to play support offlane chaos knight and as a result I couldn't do anything for the entire game
Just keep playing, if you want I can probably get you in some 5 stacks - In non-ranked the people I play with basically mess around so it doesn't matter how you play really |

In my experience it tends to match you based off of the worse players skill as has been the case with all 15 or so games I have played with absolute beginners (every match that I got a hero I can do something with I completely stomped them) |

People who you get matched with are extremely touchy about how bad they are to get matched with complete beginners - They will find any way to deflect the blame from themselves and blame 'Russians' or 'noob feeders' when in reality the obstacle to improvement is THEM - Unless you can see your errors you will never improve - I admit that it is hard to do this (and I often only see my terrible plays when I watch my replays) but it has to be done to get into higher brackets.
This was a case in point in the game Jebby played - He first picked Viper, then Razor forced him to dual-lane mid, fed 9 kills whilst Jebby went even on kills and deaths and then blamed him for being a 'noob' and ragequit. Our jungle (rofl) Lone Druid also said that Viper wasn't active enough. Was this true? Yes, probably. Is this hypocrisy at its finest as he literally sat in the jungle leaving me to solo (an admittedly easy) offlane for 25 minutes? Yes. |

My guide to playing in pubs: Pick versatile characters. Characters that can both play support or carry, given the circumstances, are great (most notably Alchemist). Either that or wait until everyone else has picked and accept your unavoidable support role |

Also, regarding MMR, I'm pretty sure that the average is around 3100-3300 - Sites like reddit and other dota 2 forums (where all the tryhards gather) and streamers give a false impression of how high the average actually is. |

Alch needs a nerf
With a medallion you can be taking 700 damage concoctions to the face on a support like 12 minutes into the game and rosh just melts and he can become a semi-carry lategame if a support or he can just straight up carry oh and armlet is insane on him with his new ultimate too
he needs a nerf |

Solo queue is such cancer
Invoker decides to drop my BKB on the ground because I didn't TP to defend the t1 offlane (least important tower in the game by FAR) and as a result we lost the next teamfight due to me not having my BKB and lost the game |

That's a very nice article. My only problem with Dota is that I don't have the time right now to spend on the game. I will certainly continue to invest more time in it over the next year though. For now, I'm going to continue with my playthrough of Deus Ex: Human Revolution ( really good game once you get into it btw). |

I know it is heresy to say this here, but I'm a league of legends player. If anyone on the NA servers wants to add me, my summoner's name is Tailia.
