But, of course, that was the inefficient way to do it, and we need SOPA/PIPA to make any progress.

The FBI closed down Megauploads. Anything that you've had hosted there needs to be reuploaded elsewhere.

Remember this and the smile at the end? I just found that, like with everything in life...there's a Pokémon version of it.

I dunno where to post this, so here it is. I've seen lotsa talk in the chatbox about funny news and stuff, and I thought, why let it prune; let's just post them here.

so uh, the wierdest news in israel is a 10-year old kid who's breaking records or something - she read 565 books last year. we got nothin as wierd as you guys do, lol. although once there was a nice thing about a couple who were doing...stuff on their balcony and they just fell down and broke arms and stuff.

I think that you should have posted this in the current events topic, as it doesn't really relate to politics.

But are you referring to when I posted a link to a story about some Maryland resident killing his roommate and then eating him? He  apparently ate his heart and part of his brain.
'shos' said:
I did refer to that, and also to one of the many links thomas supplies us with about Surrey

I didn't know the guy was Swedish. Latest thing I heard was that his identity was unknown but that he carried an American driver's license.

The theater shooter is a complete crackpot. He pretty much dressed up like Bane (villain in the new film) and called himself the Joker. Not to mention he hardcore-rigged his apartment with explosives. I honestly don't think this one could've been prevented. And no change in gun-control policy will come from this either blah blah blah. AMC (a pretty big franchise of theaters in the US) is now banning anyone wearing masks into movies period. There goes any future cosplay aspirations of mine- actually I think I'm one of the types of humans that is least suited to cosplay, lol. Anyways, the whole thing sucks.

Are you talking about the bus explosion in Bulgaria? I only read a little bit about it. There were like 1-2 articles on the news sites I visited Thursday night, but pretty much were trampled by the US thing. It's always concerning when terrorism branches out of the middle eastern countries, it just shows how wide of a reach they have. I mean, it's just as awful when it happens in Afghanistan/Iraq/Iran etc., but it's more commonplace (no offense).

well internet says it's confirmed he's swedish.

that theatre thing is insane, lol. if anyone ever read critiques about The Human Centipede 2 (watching the film is not recommended even if you're an adult), this would arise. that movie's plot is about a madman psycho sadist masochist etc etc-ist who saw the first movie and wanted to give it a try. one critique pondered about the option that the director wanted to make a parody(lol) about all those who say that movies give ideas to psychos, and one day someone will try them out. if that is what the director meant, brilliant! otherwise, gross.
so this seems to be the case there. I really don't see any reason for any country to allow anyone to go and buy arms just like that; especially not assault rifles O_o

and yes I was talking about bulgaria. since the crisis israel had with turkey, people stopped going there, so now like 90% of those who finish highschool take a trip to Burgus or Cos before they join the army(if they have the money of course). now it's summer, highschool ended a month ago - so lots of youngsters go there. this was completely unexpected, intel-wise. 11 terrorist attacks have been prevented against israelis worldwide in the last month, and all of a sudden this one comes by surprise

also, I lolled at:

no worries I'm not offended although I could troll you so much for that post. could have totes started pming you like neezles all caps about morality

however; when you think of it, you're kinda right. every month or so you hear about some terror attack in a random country in the world, but in the middle-east, that's regular life. I never thought about it- Egypt, Israel, Lebanon and Syria seem like the main war of the world.

btw I don't know if any of you are following the 'revolution' in syria - but the rebels, for some reason, their motto is 'death to assad, death to jerusalem'. when I saw this at first I was like, WTF?! how the hell is jerusalem related to that?! then I realized no reason is a good reason =\

This being why I don''t much care who wins that one because they're all terrible, apparently.
So... recent events. Hmmm. I ate a bagel the other day. It had cream cheese on it. Yum.
I have a new nickname Israel should adopt. Israel = Little Izzy. Seriously, who could launch a missile at someone named Little Izzy? Nobody. It's just too ADORABLE! There, I just solved the middle east problem.

My nickname on here earlier was Izzy. >_>

Anyway, fun fact: The only ones who claim that the Bulgaria bomber was Swedish are Israelis. There hasn't been any mention of the bomber being Swedish in Swedish newspapers and not online either in credible sources.

You tell me why a Swedish guy would need to fake a passport from the US to get to Bulgaria.

The presumed accomplice, who is believed to be a US citizen named David Jepson, was captured on CCTV footage at Varna airport at the end of June, according to unconfirmed information.

He said the bomber was not thought to be a Bulgarian citizen, and that investigators had ruled out Mehdi Ghezali, a Swedish citizen and former Guantanamo inmate, who was mentioned earlier as a possible suspect.

Moving on. The killer is not a Swede.

Mitt Romney has decided to annoy us in Britain with his rubbish. He called Ed Milliband 'Mr. Leader' and was a moron in general. He also managed to get David Cameron and Boris Johnson to dislike him. Great start.

They aren't the ones who have to vote for him in November, so he holds it to less importance. I don't even understand why someone who's isn't even elected president yet, let alone nominated gets to politically visit other countries. Can't we just focus on the present until November?

Shos. That first bit made me sad because it was not intelligent.

In Israel he basically said he'd suck up to Israel even more than Obama and Bush have already done, which is near impossible...

Also he said that Obama 'didn't recognise our shared anglo-saxon heritage'. It doesn't take a genius to see the implied racism there.
