The Neopets Team awoke to the sound of somebody crying. Fearing the worst, they scrambled out of their makeshift beds and followed the sound to Harumbai's office, where Donna was sitting cross-legged outside the door, rocking back and forth and sobbing into her hands.

When they stepped inside, they saw why:  Harumbai was sprawled on the floor, dead, with a look of surprise still etched upon his purple face.

Harumbai was The Bookkeeper, member of the Neopets Team.

'Harumbai's role' said:
With the employee records and documents at your disposal, you are able to investigate one player each night, learning their role name and alignment.

The gravity of the situation began to sink in for the Neopets Team, and they hurried back to the lobby to begin the discussions, well aware that they were running out of time.

You guys think there's meant to be any significance in the fact that his face was purple, or does that just show strangulation? Sucks that we lost Harumbai, though; he was a useful PR and soon the inactive players will outnumber the rest. I'm gonna try and not focus on inactivity (as much) today, though. Look where it's gotten us so far.

Before ANYONE does anything:

Silver, report all night actions targeted at you tonight in accordance with your role. If you refuse to claim, you will be swiftly lynched. Claim as soon as possible.

So Isa and jellsprout are the only staff left alive and I get more pro-town vibes from Isa than jellsprout.

Unvote, Vote: jellsprout

Harumbai was the cop and I just wanted to point out that it's obvious he investigated me on N1. It's just like newbie 1149. (Only Isa will know what I'm talking about.)

Okay end of day vote count on D1. Green players are confirmed town, shos will be considered town and I will be green because I know I am town-aligned.
7 - Jazz (canadianstickdeath, snipereborn, Thomas, jellsprout, Yuggy, Shavey Dave, Harumbai)
2 - Shavey Dave (Isa, shos)
1 - Silver (Yaya)

3 - Not Voting (Jazz, Soccerboy, Silver)

Final vote count on D2.
7 - Kooler (soccerboy, snipereborn, Thomas, Yaya, Harumbai, Silver, Shavey Dave)
2 - Thomas (Isa, Kooler)
2 - Silver (jellsprout, Yuggy)

Unlike D1, EVERYBODY was using their vote. D2 had many cases on many people so that is probably a good time for scum to start voting. Isa sure did join a lot of wagons but at the end of the day he has his vote on somebody else. I guess he wants to be the pro-town guy who is actually scum who would never mislynch a townie! Shavey Dave joins a lot of wagons later on. I still wish he was lynched yesterday because he was wayyy more scummy than Kooler. Snipereborn could very well be scum too. I've had null reads on him all game.

@Isa: Link?

Don't use your own name in green if you want your analysis to be taken seriously by others.

THOMAS STOP BEING SO IMPATIENT

No-one targeted me this night... kind of strange, I expected someone to do something to me. Also Harumbai being killed was quite a surprise as well. I expected the mafia to go after Isa.

I do not have a targeting role, so I couldn't do a night action against Silver.

We are not mass claiming. Do not say if you have a targeting role or not. Just explode if you did target Silver and you are adamant that you were not role blocked, etc.

I'm assuming that later, someone will end up telling the people who did not claim to target Silver to tell what they did.

BTW Isa, this is sort of why I was voting silver yesterday. There's a good chance we don't have any targeting townies anymore.
I still back the janitor theory, btw. Can't the mafia choose who gets to kill and then not use the janitor to make us think there isn't one?
I know, WIFOM, but it can't be helped.

Random fact: The mafia now comprise 33% of the players. That is, 1 out of 3 players are mafia.
I'll Vote: Silver for the same reasons as yesterday.

I notice that my voting pattern looks awful. I've voted to lynch both townies. The only other players that have done this are Thomas and Shavey Dave (and CSD/ kooler, but he was town).
I bring this up because I want discussion now, to get it out of the way and so that the mafia can't use it at they're leisure later.
Both Thomas and I are contributing actively, and our reasons for our votes have been documented well. Shavey Dave, on the other hand, is not being open (by lurking) and has helped lynch two townies. For this, he is in a very close second for a scum read.

Does there have to be a staff member in the mafia? I didn't think that was the case. If I'm right, then Thomas looks more scummy for changing from a legitimate vote to a random one. Why would a townie do that? (Even though "I'm ticked off" is not a good reason against soccer, we know there are other obvious ones that Thomas has previously stated).

Silver, I want to know why you thought the mafia would "go after" Isa. You can either respond to this now, or later when you are at L-1.

@snipereborn No, there is no guarantee that a staff member is mafia. But in all games on IG so far, a staff member has always been mafia.

Isn't it obvious? He's "large and in charge" (as they say).
Although he might just be a member of the mafia himself, which may be why they didn't go after him sooner...
