The US is pretty safe, war wise. Mainly because there arn't really any countries stupid enough to throw bombs at us. Not after Afghanistan.
Anyways, I'm not sure that the US is more peaceful than Isreal. How do you even judge something like that? I always considered the Isralis a peacefull sort; they'd have completely dominated the rest of the middle east otherwise. I think it takes a lot of restraint and respect for human life for them not to just flip of the rest of the world and crush the people who throw bombs at them. I wouldn't show that kind of mercy.
