As in you think that we should have more windows, or as in we either shouldn't have any windows or we should have more because they looked out of place?
If it's the first one, it's because it's a meant to be a monument, as opposed to an office building or something.

alright then, I guess we should come up with the underwater entrance | | Quirvy |

That, I can't really help you with.
If you drained the entire underwater base, you make a hole digging into the water-floor and have it come back up into the base, with the help of a ladder.
If you didn't drain the entire base, you can just have a little doorway at the very bottom of the base.

I can always punch a hole in the wall and raise the water back up. But I like the sound of digging a whole that goes underground. | | Quirvy |

So, how does the window make it look at day? Does it look out of place? Maybe instead of windows, they should be indents into the building, that have torches in them?

For the entrance, I dug a hole in the dirt some distance from the base of the building. Then I put trap doors at the bottom of the hole which stop the water from flooding the tunnel, even when the trapdoors are open. I did this because otherwise, getting out of the building is a pain because there's a current of water rushing towards the ladder. But I think the sudden stop in water gives the base a pretty cool feeling to it.

Yeah, I dunno if the windows fit well with the monument. My suggestion is that you get rid of the windows, fill up the 2 center tiles with light grey blocks, and have torches on all 4 sides of the lower light grey block.
But I think it looks great thus far. Too bad we can't make the red and blue blocks light up at night.
ninja'd, but my post still applies. Right now the indent isn't noticeable, but if you make it a lighter grey and have a torch in it, the indent should be more noticeable.

I'm not sure what you mean? Do you want me to fill up the indent with light gray and then put torches on the outside? | | Quirvy |

No, just replace the center of the indents with light grey blocks and put torches on all 4 sides of the lower light grey block

wow those torches don't really shine all that brightly
And I can't even tell if the middle blocks are light grey or dark grey. I think honestly, I'll settle with the top 2 center blocks on each side being light grey to introduce the antenna before the fourth section end.
If only minecraft was free, I would be doing all of this myself...
But at least this is gonna be a first where someone without minecraft designs a minecraft building. Kinda reminds me of the idea that someone who can't play hatpc makes a hatpc cave, and has someone else test it for him and edits his cave based on the feedback he gets.

Since the windows are 2 tiles high, I added another torch in each window.

lol whoops I meant to say that you should close up the indents.
Now that I think about it more, top row of blocks on section 4 should all be light grey, and then the aside from that, 2 other corner blocks should be made to light grey. So I guess keep the light grey blocks light grey, the 3 highest blocks on each corner to light grey and fill in the indents?

Maybe if you could move everything at the top up one block so that the light grey blocks will be a little farther away from eachother, if you know what I mean and are willing to do it. Other than potentially that, the exterior looks good to go I guess.
I wonder, has anyone stumbled upon this yet?

not that I know of. And moving everything up won't be so hard. I just have to change the color of one row and then put another layer on top of everything else. | | Quirvy |

well, the antenna will have to have to be altered a little more, too.

I don't have minecraft either, so if I want to make a minecraft monument or something, can Livio or Nebnebben make it?

so what should we put on the inside? Considering how it's a secret entrance to get in, maybe it could be some kind of high-tech control room. With the addition of pistons in the latest update, we can make some kind of nuke launcher, where a hole opens near the top at blocks of gravel fly out. I wish TNT was allowed. | | Quirvy |

Considering that the entire structure is basically a spiral I don't think you'll find a place for holes to open out of. I don't even know how pistons work so I couldn't really comment on how to set that up.
And I dunno what types of rooms you can even make. I'm merely the architect of it, what you do in the inside is of no concern to me
But there should at least be a war room, and a bomb shelter way below the actual tower. If you get really ambitious and have more plans than space, you could build rooms right under the lake, although you'll have to be careful to not accidentally break into water and flood the whole base.
