I hear these Nuzlocke thingies are all the rage, so I've decided to try one of them out. I have completed starter solos before, which essentially followed the same rules as Nuzlocke challenges, but I've never done an actual Nuzlocke challenge.
Here are the rules:

-You may only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in any location, unless you've already captured that Pokemon before. So if in Route 1 I first encounter a Ratatta, I may not capture anything else there. If I fail to catch that Ratatta, I still may not catch anything else. If I already caught a Ratatta before, I may catch the second Pokemon I encounter.
-If a Pokemon faints, it dies. You either release it or put it in a special PC box. Either way, you may never use it again under any circumstances.
-Every Pokemon you catch must be nicknamed.
-No glitch abuse. So no cloning, Missingno, Bad Egg, Mew Glitch or anything similar.

There are also two rules that aren't standard, but that I'm adding to prevent solos:
-Your team must always have the maximum possible number of Pokemon in it. If you've captured 5 Pokemon and nothing has fainted, you must have all five Pokemon in your party. If you have more than 6 Pokemon alive at that moment, you must always carry 6 Pokemon in your team.
-The maximum difference in level between the highest leveled Pokemon and the lowest leveled Pokemon in your team can't be larger than 5 levels. If it is more than that, you must only use the lower leveled Pokemon until this level gap is once again less than 5 levels.

Without these two rules there is no reason not to sweep through the entire game with just a Blastoise. That would just be too easy.

The challenge ends with the defeat of the E4 or any post E4 champions (such as Red in G/S/C).

I will post updates here after any important battle (Gym Leaders, Team Admins, etc). If anyone else wants to join in, go ahead.

However, first I need to decide which game to play. That is where you come in. I can play any generation, except for the 5th gen. For simplicity, I'm also excluding Colloseum and XD.

There are also additional rules that are often used, such as "No Pokecenters", "No healing items", "No/limited TMs" and "No Legendaries", but I find this limiting enough. It is basically Pokemon Extreme Challenge.
All you need to play is a Pokemon game you are willing to start a new file on.

I got a NidoranM, named him JEBBY, level 3. First battle: Rattata on level 4 uses Tail Whip 5 times and then OHKO's me with Tackle.

Lol, am I your favorite, then?

I'll join in on this as soon as I get my old gba and a gen 1 game.

EDIT:
Scratch that. I'm using an emulator now.
My name is SNIPER and my rival's name is G SIX. It was the first thing that came to mind.

Chose charmander, named LIZZY-ARD.

Also, I presume that the pokemon I encounter before I can get pokeballs don't count?

Just got a lvl 3 rattata named BIGHT.

BIGHT hit lvl 7 and learned Quick Attack.

Route 2: Caught a lvl 5 pidgey named WiNGMAN.

BIGHT just got poisoned by a weedle. I managed to get him to a PC with 1 hp left.

I assumed that it counted, so I didn't catch anything in that area.

I have a Pidgey named SILVER at level 11, SNIPER is at level 9 and I just caught a Weedle named THOMAS at level 5, which I intend to boost.

THOMAS is now a Beedrill at level 10. SNIPER and SILVER are both level 14.

I cheated slightly - at Route 3, my first wild encounter was another Pidgey. I don't want multiples of the same species, so I ran away. The next Pokémon was a Spearow at level 5. I caught it and named it ART, because just like Art, he showed up once before disappearing, as I have no plans to level up another Pokémon with almost identical functions as SILVER (even though in the end, ART is better).

So we will be playing Gen 1.

So basically the rules:

-Catch only the first Pokemon you encounter on each new location
-Pokemon die if they faint
-No glitch abuse
-No trading between games
-You must use as many Pokemon as possible in your party
-The difference in levels of the Pokemon in your party may not be more than 5

You win if you defeat Mewtwo.
You lose if all your Pokemon get killed or if you Pokemon able to learn a TM needed to continue.

The banned glitches include: Missingno, cloning, Glitch City, Mew glitch and any variant of it, skipping Brock and anything else I may have missed. Use common sense.

All Routes, cities, caves, Viridian Forest and Power Plant are separate locations. Pokemon Tower is a part of Lavender Town, the Game Corner is a part of Celadon City, Silph Co and the Fighting Dojo are part of Saffron City, Pokemon Mansion is part of Cinnabar Island, the SS Anne and docks are part of Vermillion City. I think that covers everything.

The Pokemon you encounter before obtaining your first Pokeballs and the Ghosts you encounter in Pokemon Tower before you get the Silph Scope both count towards your encounters in that area. Though seeing how the first route only contains Pidgey and Rattata, I doubt anyone would mind if you do catch a Pokemon there.

Trading Pokemon with people in game is allowed, but this will count as your catch in that area. So you may not trade if you've encountered anything there either. You may also obtain any non-random Pokemon, such as Eevee or Lapras, but once again these will count as the caught Pokemon for that area.

I think that covers everything.

I will start in a moment.

Ninja: Isa, if you've already encountered the first Pokemon encountered in a new area, you are allowed to catch something else. I think I included this in my first post.

Do we count the ghosts in lavender tower? I don't think that we would, since their not pokemon... yet.

I assume different levels in the caves are counted as if they're the same.

They are still encounters, so I think say we should. You can avoid Pokemon Tower entirely until you get the Silph Scope, so it shouldn't matter much.

Yes. All the different areas in the Safari Zone are also counted as if they are the same.

Update 1:

Smashed stupid Isa face! Yay!

I named myself Neezles and my rival Isa (there isn't enough room for Poopy Face). Since Isa picked Squirtle and Sniper picked Charmander, I picked Bulbasaur and named him Dandonovit[ch]. Hopefully I will be able to get something useful later. I do not want to face Agatha with a Venusaur. At least he won't be able to get poisoned, so that is one worry less.
Isa picked Charmander. Things didn't really go that well, but thanks to Isa's Growl spam and a well-timed critical hit, I was still able to win without using my Potion. Next stop: Oak's Parcel.

Neezles
Team:
-Farmer Dandonovitch the Bulbasaur - level 6

Because I realize how difficult it will be to level your low leveled Pokemon in a high-leveled area, a will change the 5-level rule slightly. You may use your higher leveled Pokemon to help your lower leveled Pokemon grind, but only against wild Pokemon.

Caught a lvl 3 weedle named SHIV. Now a lvl 14 Beedrill.

Ninja'd:
Now you tell me, lol. Poor SHIV almost died like 8 times just trying to get past lvl 3. Weedles are hard to level on their own.

Edit:
I just realized I'm gonna have a super-fun time trying to beat Brock.
SNIPER Team:
-SHIV, Beedrill lvl 14
-WiNGMAN, Pidgey lvl 10
-BIGHT, Rattata lvl 10
-LIZZY-ARD, Charmander lvl 10

Oh yeah, my team (I'm at Mt. Moon, haven't entered yet though to help ART boost himself):

ART, the Spearow: Level 6 (still fresh and in training)
SNIPER, the Squirtle: Level 14
SILVER, the Pidgey: Level 14
THOMAS, the Beedrill: Level 10

I kind of hoped you would just do that yourself. It was a small rule to bend. And just teach LIZZY-ARD Ember. Geodude and Onix have an abysmal Special and neither has any Rock or Ground attacks.

Just be sure to keep Potions, in case of...well, critical hits (from Geodude and Onix, lol).

A short power-leveling session later and ART is now level 12. SNIPER is also level 15 and has learned Water Gun. I'm gonna train THOMAS a little and then, to Mt. Moon!

Update:

Beat Isa again! Just go to bed Isa!

After delivering Oak's Parcel I bought some Pokeballs. I first caught a Pidgey and named it Rob Garret[t]. After a short training montage I decided to venture further and caught a Weedle. Named him Spatulas. Once I evolved Spatulas into a Kakuna I decided to try my luck at Route 22. There I caught a Nidoran (m). The only proper name for him is obviously Julius Nzl [Julius Neezles]. I trained them all up to level 10 and decided to take on Isa again. Beat him without any trouble. I started with Farmer Dandonovitch against his Pidgey. After a few Sand Attacks I was afraid he would crit me, so I decided to switch out to Spatulas (who was a Beedrill by then) who Poison Sting'd it into oblivion. Then I pitted Julius Neezles against his Charmander. He won without even taking any damage. Julius Neezles indeed.

Neezles:
Team
-Farmer Dandonovitch the Bulbasaur - level 10
-Rob Garrett the Pidgey - level 10
-Spatulas the Beedrill - level 10
-Julius Neezles the Nidoran (m) - level 11

Went into Mt. Moon, first encounter was naturally Zubat. I hate that guy. Golbat is also one of the worst final stage Pokémon in the game, second to Ditto and rivaling Hitmonchan.

I caught him, but accidentally didn't name him. Mentally he's called ICECLAW247 though.
