------------------------------------------------ WHAT TO DO WHEN THE SERVER IS DOWN ------------------------------------------------
I forgot to mention about color restrictions. Any color from the color table here is acceptable, except for dark green (§2, this is the color for Architects), dark aqua (§3, the color for Mods), and red (§c, the color for Admins).
Custom titles are also okay, but you must forgo your custom color so the rank of the person can still be determined.
I think a minimal amount of planning should be used for the new Spawn. We should pick a good location and maybe some sort of theme, but we shouldn't plan out where specific houses go or anything. People should build those on their own.
It sounds like you're talking about what I would call Spawn City
I'm more referring to what the actual spawn location should be. In the pre-1.7 server, it was just a portal to creative being guarded by an iron golem. I think it would be good if we had more, like an actual building for it, or as previously discussed maybe even a village (although most people seem to want to have a spawn city so I'd throw that out), or stronghold converted into a base.
It's currently running on the 1.7.2 beta build, but the server is compatible withe 1.7.4, which is the latest version of minecraft.
Here are the most significant changes:
(1) The Survival Reset has come early!
(2) The old survival worlds (overworld, nether, and the end) are available for download right here.
(3) The server map is down! And it will stay down until the dynmap plugin receives an update that makes it compatible with the latest version of minecraft. Until then you'll just have to rely on crafting your own maps.
(4) We've installed a brand new plugin for handling the multiple worlds and portals between worlds, and some of the restrictions of this plugin compelled us to move the Survival world portal inside the Beacon closer to the spawn point that you're used to. We originally moved the spawn point, but it was just jarring how you're facing the wrong direction now, so we moved the portal instead.
(5) Another limitation of the new plugin is that we limited travel between worlds to only the portals. You used to be able to jump into survival at any time you wanted to from creative using a command, but now you'll just have to hit /spawn and then walk through the portal instead.
(6) The /who command doesn't work anymore, which means you won't be able to see who's in what world at a glance. In the meantime, at least holding TAB works, and it even shows you if anyone's currently AFK when they're listed as purple.
(7) The creative world has had its World Border expanded by 500 blocks, for those of you who want the new 1.7 chunks to load in creative.
If there are any glitches, please report them ASAP!
Hey, that's not bad about the map actually. I always thought it made the game too easy, because it's obvious where to go, etc. Without that, we'll have it more challenging to navigate throughout the lands, but the map happens to be helpful at times so it could be back soon. I totally agree with Bmwsu about the gravel roads, I think they are actually much better than the well-arranged and straight brick ones. The brick ones are useful too, but the mixed gravel ones look way more natural and they will probably fit our infrastructure as well. Additionally, they make a specific sound that makes you feel like you're going somewhere. There's now a lot of gravel at the bottom of the oceans so it shouldn't be a problem to gain some.

You don't, but prezkamm made some decent pixel art in pixel art park so Flash was suggesting making him an architect because the pixel art is somewhat impressive.

Blacraft is on 1.7.4 and it runs dynmap, so it should work.
*Goes off to find some mesa biomes*
Edit: Is it me or did the view distance change? I think it was bigger before (and yes I changed the client render distance settings).
Edit2: I don't know how much you guys care about biomes on the creative world, but the biomes got reshuffled for the pre-1.7 world. I noticed it while exploring the rim, but it's noticeable near spawn.

That's actually because the land there is from beta 1.4, same age as Blacraft spawn and nobody wants to make the biomes right because livio is lazy and sniper is never on Interguild to know these things, and bmwsu is lazier

Um, how do you switch off the speed thing that gets turned on with the /speed command? I tried it thinking it would increase flight speed rather than walk at warp speed all the time.
Nvm, dying and then respawning does the trick apparently.
You can use /cleareffects to rid yourself of any nasty effects that you might have. And while we're on the subject, actually, you can use /letmesee for infinite night vision and /jumpeffect for jump boost.
The reason that that many mobs collected in that one spot, Flash, was because of of the water stream, but that cave was also underneath a deep ocean and was far from land and because of that, there were less caves for mobs to spawn in. I had to kill 10 zombies just to get into that cave system.
And as for the server being down, it appears to be a problem on the host's end. I can't even access the cPanel.
