Ranks & Permissions:

(1) Default - can do nothing but explore the creative world.
(2) Builder - can build in the creative world. Building powers are given only to referred members.
(3) Architect - a builder who can use World Edit in the creative world. Architect powers are given to trusted members who have at least 500 posts on the forums.
(4) Mod - an architect who can ban people, set up warps, and do other mod things.
(5) Admin - can do anything, because they keep the server running.

(*) Survival access is granted on a per-person basis. Just ask for survival permissions and a mod will grant you access.

Dynmap is back!  The difference this time is that the survival Overworld, Nether, and End are not rendered and displayed, so it's just creative.

Is there supposed to be lava around soccerboy's house? It was there the last time I saw it and it's there on dynmap, but its not there ingame. Then again, that lava made things laggy anyway.

Edit: Possible chunk error at around -70 1630 since there is a chunk on dynmap that isn't loading, but I don't see anything ingame.

Maybe later we should add it (like after we beat survival or get past the exploration stage), but at the moment, survival is more fun without the dynmap. It would be silly to be able to see areas that you've never been to before so clearly; in a way it discourages exploration. Part of the fun is exploring things on your own, instead of looking at dynmap to see what others have explored

It also makes it more challenging (in a fun way) to navigate. Instead of just going on dynmap to see where you are and where you need to go, you have to either rely on maps or coordinates. Instead of being able to just see where people are you have to actually inquire, and plan meeting up at places

So sometime ago we gave prezkamm WorldEdit powers, even though he hasn't made a single post on the forums. I gave him the powers because there were a few members proposing that since he has been making cool projects on the server, that he deserved the promotion. I actually completely forgot about our rule about having a certain number of posts before getting WorldEdit, and now it just seems unfair to those who have been waiting for their post counts to go up.

So what do you think we should do? We could take his powers away, or we could add a new rule about how if a certain number of members vouch for you then you won't need a post count. What do you think?

gib me world edit plz. i feel like overall reputability is important, but if world edit really isn't necessary for projects, then it's not needed to give worldedit. if that makes sense.

The post count rule is dumb because as far as I'm concerned the MC Server at this point is entirely separate to the site

Entirely separate? People still post levels and videos of Minecraft on the site, so having a required post count means you will be likely to post your levels/videos on the site. If you are active on the site that proves that you would share your projects and not just make one or two things and then leave.

The server is not separate.  In fact, most months it's funded solely by the Interguild ad revenue.  Every single rule that is for the Interguild also applies to the server as well.  The server is essentially an extension of the Interguild, and that's why we don't allow things like swearing.  Just to list some of the people who I've seen on the server the most lately and who come to the Interguild regularly are Teo, Quirvy, Soccer, Livio (at least for the time), me, Jorster, Atvelonis, Krotomo, Jazz, and lately Isa.

The only reason that I don't post is because I don't see anything that I need to contribute to.  I read most active threads, except for some HatPC levels.  Similar to Silver, I just do think I need to add my own dead air into the conversations that I don't have a part in or don't know much about or care much for.  I still log onto the site every day that I can and read this thread.

I'm of the inclination that he shouldn't have WE.  Not only have I seen his activity decline lately after him getting WE, the style of building he does (Largely pixel art, from what I understand) doesn't require such things.  I also don't believe that we need to change the rules just because we forget the rules one time and make a mistake, and I think that we should remove them.  Like Livio said, if we make an exception then we might as well as change the rule because then other people would want an exception made for them.

Just to say; while exploring the server, I noticed almost everyone has WE powers maybe except for Soccer and mymop. (and me, but I don't actually play in creative too often and I'm not in a particular need of WE too) It's funny, Soccer actually has lots of inspiration and he wants to know new things, but other people don't actually do anything significant lately. I think they have made great projects before, though, so your choices probably aren't pointless too.

I think it would be interesting to have a different rank system. How about something like, after Builder, there isn't just Architect, but other ranks that offer other powers that are equal to having WE. That way there wouldn't just be Architects and a handful of Builders.

I think that his powers should be taken away, since he doesn't meet one of  the requirements for being an architect and he doesn't need WE for things like pixel art anyway.

Some things to announce:
- Death counter only counts in survival.
- Achievements can only be earned in survival.
- Stats only counted in survival, except for games quit, which is universal for your client, and minutes played, which counts in Different, too.
- Horses cannot receive suffocation or cactus damage if there is not a person on the horse.  This is to try and prevent some of the deaths occurring from horses glitching and breaking free from leads and pens.

We have installed a censor plugin.  This also monitors signs, renamed items, and essentially anything else that has text that you can modify.  Please let us know if there is a problem with saying something that shouldn't be censored!

So yeah, the plugin seemed to find its first fault. I and Soccer were already warned four times because while messing in creative, I asked him "Isn't it better to use a redstone repeater negation?" and the "Isn't it" got censored because of "TIT", whatever it is, lol. (and the game replaced the "Isn't it" with "Isn'flowers")
EDIT: Oops, sorry for writing it but I didn't know it actually means something inappropiate. (polish apologies!)
