Lying is never good in a mafia game.

Anyways, regarding Jorster, I never did a night action, so I'm not sure whether or not it worked.
I'm sort of suspicious on whether or not he's telling the truth about his role...

Oh, I see where you said that. The wording of your sentence when you originally said that confused me a bit.

And yeah, I personally don't the trend of dishonesty I've seen from shos thus far into the game. Mainly from lying about his role several times. It doesn't particularly surprise me, and it's not as if I'd expect people to tell the truth, but still I trust shos less now than I did before as a result of the way he's handled revealing his role.

And, yeah, again, I don't know what 1v1 means.

Which reminds me, the little weasel that -1d my post way back when never called me out for what was wrong with that post.

I'm not told whether or not I absorbed a night action, just whether or not it gets blocked in some way.

So how would you successfully block it if I never did one?

Let's say I'm a doc. I protect a player. It will return either "your protection was successful" or "your protection was unsuccessful" just because it was successful does not mean somebody tried to kill the guy I protected; it only means I was not roleblocked in any way and the guy I protected was not jailed which made it successful.

Sorry, didn't have enough experience with targeting roles.
Anyways, I'm curious why Yuggy hasn't said anything yet.
Thomas is just pointing out other people's flaws, not responding to arguments against him...

I'm not particularly pleased by Shos' lying either. How can we be sure that now he is telling the truth? Maybe he becomes a stump every second day or has some other condition with his role that he is not revealing. It is fair enough that he should keep his role secret I guess, but telling half truths/lies about it is not very reassuring.

And with Jorsters role... He blocked and absorbed nothing?

kay, now I'm on a real computer.
look, on day 1 the fact I was a stump was mod-exposed, and at first I thought I could deal with it nicely, but then people started talking seriously about having me killed at night. so I told you about the fact that I'm only a temporary stump; however, if I were mafia, and I'd see a person being stump at first and THEN getting the role, I'd think that they have a super-awesome power role for town, and so I'd kill the man immidiately, just to be on the safe side - you know, not letting them have a chance. anyway - that is why I said I'd lose my stumpness on day *three* - so that the mafia would at worst kill me night 2 if they wish.

what I did doesn't hurt town at all, so I also don't quite think there was a reason not to do it.

several times.? I only recall saying that I'm a stump till day 3, anything else?
and since when have *I* revealed my role?

here's a quote for you:
http://www.interguild.org/members/forums/jump.php?to=1338980788

that is also some reason to suspect harumbai, btw, the 'despite all he says, he needs to die'.

if we're talking with Q already, btw, I'd like to point out quirvy's last post of day 1. 'voting' after a person has been hammered - is usually something I suspect quite a lot. even if he was supposedly ninja'd - voting after the hammer is like scum seeing their buddy getting lynched and crying, oh well yeah I wanted to lynch him too, look at me I'm town.

why is this hurting the town? I prevented town wasting their powers on killing a town-aligned player, who has a role just as well, except I couldn't vote or be voted day 1.

I don't know why I did that. I guess Jazz was so inactive that I completely forgot about him.
I don't believe that. You put everybody in the same order as the roster in the first post of the topic. This means you were most likely looking at the roster when you made the post unless you have completely memorized the roster and order of players and stuff but I doubt that.

'jellsprout' said:
If you want suspicious, look at Quirvy. He had plenty of time to vote when the bandwagon first started. He even made several posts after the first votes were cast. Yet he only voted after Jazz already had enough votes to get lynched. It seems to me he just wanted to avoid being sided with Jazz, but didn't want to risk lynching him until the lynch was unavoidable.
I know it looks bad that he didn't do anything until Jazz's lynch was inevitable but it's not like he used his vote at all anywhere else or pushed for anyone else's lynching. I wasn't on to see this is real time but did Harumbai or Quirvy just log on and vote right away or were they online for a while and only decide to vote once the lynch was inevitable? If the latter, that's scummy.

Harumbai: thoughts on Quirvy?

'Jorster' said:
Why would he lie about something like that?
Because the mafia would typically "hate" somebody who is not mafia so if jell is scum and he says that then he's misleading people into believing he's town aligned.

'Yaya' said:

I'm not prepared to share info at this time. I don't like your posting style though in this game and at times you are actively lurking. Start scum hunting.

You seem to be assuming the person who did that is in this game (and still alive). Do you know who it was or something?

Yaya, you have not harassed shos after he voted you for an unknown reason at this time. Why are you not worrying about the vote he made on you but you're worrying about me when I'm not even voting you?

'shos' said:

1) You looked less scummy with a role that stopped you from being lynched until D3 so I see a scum motive for saying that.
2) You lied.
3) You could have prevented the town from using the killing powers that we apparently have without lying.
4) You are decreasing people's scum hunting efforts with all this crap you have caused.
5) You have showed that you would rather stay alive by lying that have what may be best for the town (by you dying).

What did you do that didn't hurt the town?

I DID NOT SEE YOU SAY TEMPORARY.

Can you please listen to what I think I have said twice and that that post was based on my knowledge that you were a town player who could never vote or be voted. Other people have said that they also missed seeing the temporary bit so I am not alone in being confused as to why at that point you seemed such a useless player. My reaction was fair enough given what I thought.

IMO Shos doesn't listen to what people have to say and this makes it hard to argue with him if he won't actually read arguments against him even if in this case it is just me admitting that I misread/did not see his post.

About Quirvy; He does not seem particularly scummy to me. I don't have anything to say as everything he has said seems fairly legitimate.
