i am very very upset   it was ubout a week ago now and when i tryed to get onto minecraft i got THE BLACK SCREEN OF DEATH!!!! if any one knows how to fix it pls tell me i am dieing to try out 1.8!

1. Try playing it on minecraft.net
2. Re-Download + Replace

If those don't work I don't know how to fix it

Actually, here's a slightly better method...

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\.minecraft and delete everything in the folder, then run Minecraft. (Replace USERNAME with your username, of course)

If you want to keep your saves just drag it onto the desktop, then after everything has been restored, drag the saves back into the folder.

You'll have to re-install any mods you have on, though.

We need to decide on a spawn.

Right now the spawn is set to the top of my tower. I was moving the spawn point earlier testing something, and then I just left it there. >_> But I think /warp spawn leads to the old spawn point.

What are the other spawn entries again? We have Haily's and Krotomo's joint entry, then there's guyguy's spawn. Anything else?

/spawn leads to your spawn entry, just leave it there because it is fine, because I have a quick thing to say: HK spawn and GuyGuy spawn don't have alot of building room, even though HK spawn is nice, it's right in the middle of a mountain/cave area, so everything would be crammed, so that wouldn't be nice to see 5,000,000 buildings in one place that doesn't have room, and for GuyGuy spawn, it's fern world! And since ferns are "rare", it would be stupid to have to build where crap-loads of ferns are, then soon, they would be super hard to find, but to be back on topic, it's just a default thing that happens.

Actually, I think we should regulate who gets to build what in spawn city. We should have some kind of city planning group (the staff?) who can try to make the spawn city as impressive and orderly as possible.

Nobody would build in spawn city, they would build in other cities. That's what /warps and minecart tracks are for.
Only the important/best things would be built in Spawn City, for those exact reasons.

Yes, but what Livio is saying is only the staff and a couple other people will be able to build around Spawn City, but what I am saying is we should build our best things in there, you are saying the same thing, but the problem is, if only the staff can build there, then there won't be any minecart rails, and no rails = no good way of transportation.
