As the confusion reached an all-time high, the shoelace made its escape. Oh, what a devious shoelace it was.

1. Starting with an ellipsis.

3. Not capitalizing I.
4. Misspelling disqualified.
5. Not capitalizing well.
6. Subject-verb disagreement (there's -> there are).
7. Miscounting the number of mistakes.
8. Causing a paradox.

But the shoelace was a lonely sort. It needed a turtle companion to keep it company. One day, the shoelace was exploring a dark, soggy cave when it heard mournful, feral cry of a stranded turtle. He went to investigate.

As he walked up to the turtle he realised that something was wrong, a tunnel section of the cave directly behind the turtle seemed to trap and destroy all light, similar to a small black hole. The turtle was trying to warn him! He picked up his newfound buddy and began to run from the encroaching darkness that seemed to emanate from the huge beast now lumbering down a soggy moss-ridden tunnel towards them. As he rounded a corner, he slipped on slimy, mossy stone and fell to the floor. He, along with his turtle, looked up at the huge black shape getting closer and closer, and with his heart beating like a snare drum, he accepted his fate... |

The darkness swallowed them both, and as the shoelace lost consciousness, he could hear the turtle laughing like a stereotypical cartoon villain...
The shoelace woke up in his bed. He tried to forget his nightmare, and he went to Burger King to gain a couple thousand calories. |

Once upon a time, there was a big, big, BIG shoelace. Its name - it is forbidden to say, but let's just hint that it rhymes with "squirvy"... 123123123/10 me so awesomz
'buboy24' said: No one knows what he feels. He made a video featuring him. "A Day in the Life of a Shoestring".( 3 parts, available in 3D). yeahh...that's descriptions of the characters...no plot involved...5/10

Good turning. turtle unrelated but tension sustained and tiny descriptive details. good. 8/10

The shoelace woke up in his bed. He tried to forget his nightmare, and he went to Burger King to gain a couple thousand calories. oh man, this started good, forming a break of tension combined with a twist in the plot - the betrayal of the turtle. Man, these last five words could be the title for the next book. shame on you for waking him up; that's unoriginal, and fictional, since nobody really eats in Burger King.
..unless...that is a hint that it's a dream in a dream..? :O
nay. too sophisticated to be judged in 5 am. 6.76/10

I don't know if this is why shos posted links, but if we were to all post the images directly to the topic, it could noticeably increase the time it takes for this page to load.
